Who am I
My name is André Gomes, and I’m originally from Covilhã, Portugal. From an early age, I developed a deep connection with nature, especially aquatic environments.
I began fishing at the age of 13, exploring various techniques and styles.
Over time, I discovered fly fishing—an approach that truly captivated me. Today, it’s the only way I fish.
For over seven years, I’ve been competing in fly fishing at a national and international level. I’ve had the honor of representing Portugal on three national teams, participating in two European Championships and one World Championship. Fly fishing is not just a passion for me—it’s a way of life.

In addition to my competitive career, I have actively contributed to the organization and support of various events related to fly fishing, environmental education, and forest ecosystems. These experiences have allowed me to develop strong skills in event planning, communication, stakeholder engagement, and logistics.
